Idiom Doubles Business For The Second Consecutive Year
On Increasing Worldserver Sales
New Global Electronic Publishing Additions to Product Family Helps Companies Streamline Global Publishing While Reducing Costs
Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - January 12, 2005 - The
global content lifecycle leader, Idiom
® Technologies, Inc., today announced that sales of the company's market leading globalization solutions, the WorldServer product family, have doubled for the second consecutive year. Within the past twelve months, global market leaders such as Autodesk, Caterpillar, Citrix Systems, General Motors, Information Builders, Medtronic, and Symantec became first time Idiom customers. In addition, the United States Internal Revenue Service chose WorldServer to help them more easily address recent mandates related to meeting the needs of non-English-speaking taxpayers. Finally, long-time Idiom customers including Adobe, Oracle, Motorola, and Travelocity, significantly expanded their use of WorldServer in 2004, by purchasing additional software and services from Idiom.
"Over the past year, some of the world's most successful companies chose our solutions to accelerate time to market, improve global brand and content quality, and reduce costs while accelerating revenue," said Joe Fiorentino, president and CEO of Idiom Technologies. "2004 was a great year for Idiom, and we're confident that the demand for our solutions will continue to increase in the year ahead, as global companies recognize the need for global content quality, while reducing release cycles, and decreasing their overall costs."
A major catalyst for the company's success in 2004 was the introduction of the industry's first and only global XML publishing solution, WorldServer Global Electronic Publishing. Introduced in March, the new Idiom solution has propelled Idiom into a leadership position in XML publishing and in the globalization management systems (GMS) markets simultaneously.
In addition to expanding the product family, Idiom enhanced its flagship WorldServer family with the release of WorldServer 7.5. Idiom also brought a significant new product to market in the fourth quarter of 2004, with the release of WorldServer OpenTopic. WorldServer OpenTopic is the world's first and only commerical DITA solution for global XML-based publishing. It simplifies and accelerates the creation, management, localization, and production of print and electronic documents on a global scale. With the delivery of WorldServer OpenTopic, Idiom has added a new revenue stream, and has been able to garner a variety of new customers.
