Idiom Extends Worldserver
With Support For Interwoven 6
Enhanced Content and Workflow Integration Capabilities Enable Customers to Easily Create and Manage Content in Any Format or Language Simultaneously
Waltham, Massachusetts - January 12, 2004 - Globalization Management Systems (GMS) leader Idiom Technologies, Inc. today announced WorldServer™ support for Interwoven 6, an industry-leading enterprise content management platform deployed by more than 1,200 organizations worldwide. The combination of Idiom’s translation automation and Interwoven’s enterprise content management platform helps customers dramatically increase productivity, reduce costs, and maximize international revenues by facilitating content reuse across many content types and in many languages, simultaneously.
The new integration between WorldServer 6 and Interwoven 6 enables joint customers to create, edit, review, translate, and distribute content in multiple languages from a single user interface, without ever having to move content from its existing location. Specifically, WorldServer features are now available through a new â€...“My Translationsâ€Â option within the â€...“My Tasksâ€Â menu in the Interwoven user interface. Now, translation of Interwoven managed content can be automated, without forcing Interwoven users to learn, or even launch, the WorldServer user interface.
Newly integrated reporting capabilities between the systems help keep global projects on track. Integration between WorldServer’s automatic actions and Interwoven workflows lead to increased productivity. New asset-filtering capabilities improve the quality of translations by identifying and separating nontranslatable content, such as XML tags, labels, and headers, from translatable content.
â€...“Our goal is to help companies increase global revenues while decreasing the costs associated with globalization of content,â€Â said Joe Fiorentino, president and CEO of Idiom Technologies. â€...“By integrating Idiom’s industry-leading globalization and Interwoven’s industry-leading enterprise content management offerings, the companies are providing a single, automated solution that helps global companies minimize the complexity of managing global content.â€Â
â€...“Together, Interwoven and Idiom dramatically reduce the time and effort it takes to keep in-country content up-to-date and respond to local customer needs,â€Â said Kevin Cochrane, vice president of product management at Interwoven. â€...“We value our relationship with Idiom, and we’re pleased to provide our joint customers with an even greater level of integration between our latest offerings.â€Â
