Idiom Announces Worldserver Support For Documentum 5
Seamless Integration with Leading Enterprise Content Management Platform Enables Customers to Manage and Publish Content in Any Format or Language Simultaneously
Waltham, Massachusetts - November 4, 2003 - Globalization Management Systems (GMS) leader, Idiom Technologies, Inc. today announced WorldServer™ support for Documentum 5, the latest version of Documentum's leading enterprise content management platform. The combination of WorldServer's translation automation, and Documentum 5 enables customers to maximize international revenue while increasing productivity and content quality - by creating content once, and publishing it in a variety of print and web-based formats, in multiple languages, simultaneously.
Idiom's WorldServer integrates seamlessly into Documentum 5 to provide translation technology for localizing Documentum-managed content. Through centralized translation memory and process automation capabilities, Idiom eliminates the complexity associated with translating content, helping global companies synchronize content, extract internal and external cost savings, and grow their international revenue.
The integration between WorldServer 6 and Documentum 5 enables organizations to translate evolving content directly from the Documentum ECM repository. New features announced today include:
A direct connector to Documentum 5 that provides an Explorer™ view, which enables users to navigate and translate Documentum content without having to extract it.
WorldServer business rules that detect changes to Documentum-managed content, and maintain synchronization between source and target content.
The availability of multiple filters that support many different content types including XML, XSL, HTML, ASP, JSP, FrameMaker, PPT and DOC, which enable the segmentation of content and automatic assembly of target material, while preserving structure and format.
"The seamless integration we've achieved with Documentum 5 will enable Documentum customers to roll out content on a global scale, with a minimum amount of effort," said Joe Fiorentino, President and CEO, Idiom Technologies. "Our combined technologies reduce the lead time for localization by 50 percent while freeing up resources to focus on other important priorities."
