Idiom Technologies Expands Its European Footprint

Expansion Includes European Support Center to Serve Growing Customer Base

Dublin, Ireland - Idiom Technologies WorldSummit Europe 2006 - December 4, 2006 - Idiom® Technologies, Inc., the leading independent provider of scalable software solutions for accelerating and optimizing globalization initiatives, today announced plans to expand its operations and business partnerships in Europe. The strategic push in Europe follows a recent increase in sales activity among European-based customers, including Business Objects and GE Healthcare in France, and growing demand from U.S-based customers such as Oracle, Symantec and Autodesk who have centralized globalization operations in Europe. To serve its growing customer base, Idiom also announced the opening of a European support center located in Belgium.

Through its European headquarters, based in London, England, Idiom is executing an aggressive sales strategy supported by its Idiom Global Partner Network™, an ecosystem of strategic partners that includes European language service providers (LSPs) and system integrators and consultancies dedicated to language and translation technologies, such as Cross Language and Opticentre.

"Europe is a rapidly growing market for globalization and localization technology. We have seen a steady and growing demand in Europe, starting with our U.S-based customers such as Oracle and Autodesk, and now we're experiencing strong organic growth from leading companies within Europe as well," said Mike Iacobucci, president and chief executive officer, Idiom Technologies. "Through our new European support center, our expanding network of partners and our own solid sales and support team, we're in a strong position to serve the growing demand for WorldServer from customers across Europe."

Today, there are twenty official European languages. According to the report, Human Language Technologies for Europe (http://www.tc-star.org/pubblicazioni/D17_HLT_ENG.pdf), published in April 2006, "the cost of translation and its effect on the European economy is of paramount importance in the respect that, besides the direct cost of translation, language barriers can hinder the exploitation of new opportunities." The same report estimates that the European Union alone spends 1.1 billion per year, 1 percent of their budget, on all translation and interpretation services.

European Support Center
To address the growing demand from customers for 24/7 globalization and localization support, Idiom has opened a European support center in Belgium. The European center enhances the company's standard support capabilities by offering extended around-the-clock coverage as a premium to all Idiom customers worldwide. Through the new center, Idiom is also providing local time zone and local language support for its European customers.

Idiom Global Partner Network
Idiom recently announced that Opticentre (http://www.opticentre.net/), a pioneer of localization solutions, and Cross Language (http://www.crosslang.com/), a leading provider of complete translation automation solutions, have signed on as the newest Idiom global partners. In 2007 and beyond, Idiom expects to welcome additional partners into this program, including other European systems integrators, resellers and LSPs, to create a strong, geographically dispersed network of resources capable of serving increased demand for WorldServer in Europe. Recent additions to the Idiom LSP Advantage Program™ include VistaTEC, Matrix, Wessex Translations Limited and WHP.

Idiom's European expansion plans come during a period of widespread growth in the worldwide translation and localization market. Research firm Common Sense Advisory (http://www.commonsenseadvisory.com/) estimates the current worldwide translation and localization market at US$ 8.8 billion, and the firm expects it to reach US$ 12 billion by 2010.
