Idiom Technologies And Xmetal Sign Oem Agreement, Expanding Idiom's Distribution Network

XMetaL Division of Justsystems to Bundle and Distribute Idiom WorldServer

Waltham, Mass., USA and Vancouver, Canada - August 1, 2006 - Idiom® Technologies, Inc. and Justsystems, Inc. today announced an OEM agreement that will enable XMetaL, a Justsystems company and the global leader in XML content creation and collaboration solutions, to offer Idiom WorldServer™ to XMetaL customers. Idiom is the leading independent provider of scalable software solutions that accelerate and optimize globalization initiatives. XMetaL will bundle Idiom's WorldServer to offer its customers the most complete multilingual content reuse solution.

This OEM agreement is part of Idiom's broader strategy to develop new channels and new solutions that support the globalization supply chain.

"Demand for globalization software and related technologies is accelerating, and we see many promising new channels for WorldServer distribution," said Mike Iacobucci, CEO, Idiom Technologies. "XMetaL not only has broad global reach and a mature approach to multilingual publishing, but also they are a leader in helping companies embrace XML authoring and publishing as a way to quickly and efficiently extend their global reach."

"We believe that large publishers that already take advantage of translation memory technology can save 20-40 percent of their costs by using XML and a topic-oriented architecture to streamline and automate localization and production workflows," said Bruce Sharpe, president and general manager of XMetaL. "This agreement will enable XMetaL customers to enjoy the cost and quality benefits of leveraging the integrated globalization capabilities of WorldServer across their entire content delivery process."

The Idiom partnership with XMetaL is part of an overall strategy to expand distribution opportunities for WorldServer. In support of this effort, Idiom last year launched its WorldServer LSP Advantage Program™ to aggressively fill an emerging market need driven by consolidation in the translation software and services market.
