Idiom Users Identify Cost Reduction, Productivity And Time To Market For Translated Customer-Facing Information As Primary Business Drivers For Utilizing Globalization Solutions

Survey Results From the WorldSummit Users' Conference Cite Competitive Advantage and Improved Efficiency as Primary Reasons for Selecting Idiom WorldServer Platform

Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - May 31, 2006 - Idiom® Technologies, Inc. (Idiom), the leading independent provider of scalable software solutions for accelerating and optimizing globalization initiatives, today announced results from a survey conducted during WorldSummit 2006, the company's annual global users' conference that took place earlier this month. Users of the Idiom WorldServer™ globalization management system (GMS) cited reducing costs, increasing productivity and collapsing time to market for customer-facing information as primary internal business drivers for utilizing globalization solutions; customer demand was by far the most important external influence.

Other survey results revealed that respondents feel integrating their globalization solution with existing content management solutions is "extremely important," and many are expecting to implement formal processes for measuring return on investment related to management of global content assets. Users emphasized the importance of technology, best practices and standards in their work, and listed leadership/competitive advantage, efficiency improvements and time to market as the primary reasons for selecting Idiom software solutions. Europe, the Pacific Rim and Central Asia were selected as the top regions respondents' companies were focusing their current globalization efforts. In terms of languages companies are currently integrating into their translation work, French, Spanish and German were the most popular, followed by Japanese and Chinese.

WorldSummit attendance more than doubled compared to last year. Participants including Autodesk, Business Objects, Captura Group, Continental Airlines, eBay, Oracle, PTC, Rubric, Symantec, VistaTEC and XMetaL, a Justsystems company, benefited from two full days of conference presentations, workshops, training sessions and panel discussions. Popular tracks included presentations by Ron Rogowski, senior analyst, Forrester Research and Don DePalma, president and chief research officer, Common Sense Advisory, and "Best Practices in Web Globalization" and "Uncovering Hidden Assets: The True Value of Translation Memory" sessions. In addition to getting a "sneak peak" at WorldServer 8, Idiom customers and partners participated in several interactive gatherings where they had an opportunity to share their experiences and feedback with Idiom management and product developers.

"We received great feedback from this year's event, with partners and customers agreeing that WorldSummit provided them with a perfect opportunity to meet with peers, share best practices and leave with valuable new ideas for addressing some of their more complex translation and localization challenges," said Mike Iacobucci, president and CEO, Idiom Technologies. "We take customer and partner feedback and suggestions very seriously, and look forward to demonstrating our plans to implement the valuable insight we gleaned from our discussions."
