Idiom Worldserver To Facilitate Translation And Localization Of Enterprise Content Through Microsoft Sharepoint Server 2007

WorldServer Globalization Platform Selected to Provide SharePoint Users With Powerful, Collaborative Translation Technology to Deliver Consistent, High Quality Global Content

Bellevue, Washington, USA - May 15, 2006 - Idiom® Technologies, Inc. (Idiom), a leading independent provider of scalable software solutions for accelerating and optimizing globalization initiatives, today announced it will support the next generation of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. The Idiom WorldServer™ globalization platform provides users with access to powerful translation technology and collaboration tools that facilitate the rapid, high quality translation and localization of content through Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

WorldServer will support the new "content variations" feature of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. The presentation of content accessible through SharePoint Server 2007 can appear in multiple forms. For example, a paragraph in a product collateral document may appear differently online than it does in print. Likewise, that same paragraph may be presented in multiple languages. With WorldServer, SharePoint 2007 customers will be able to optimize the translation and localization of SharePoint managed content and maximize reuse of all previously translated content. By combining the WorldServer and SharePoint platforms it will be possible for global enterprises to accelerate the delivery of content variations while keeping translation and localization costs in check.

"As demonstrated by our track-record of ongoing support for a number of industry-leading enterprise content management, database and software configuration management solutions, we build flexible globalization solutions designed to extend and preserve our customer's existing content management investments. With the addition of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 to the growing list of platforms Idiom supports, we are once again leading the market with new and important globalization innovations," said Tony Dolph, vice president, marketing and corporate development, Idiom Technologies. "With its support of industry standards, advanced translation memory and terminology database, and enhanced workflow and ease-of-adoption features, WorldServer will help SharePoint Server 2007 customers better manage translation and localization processes and ensure the quality and consistency of global enterprise content."

Developed to address the productivity challenges in today's enterprises, large and small, Microsoft's SharePoint Platform is an easy-to-use integrated suite of enterprise-class applications that boosts organizational effectiveness and makes it easier to integrate with existing IT investments.

"Idiom and Microsoft have like-minded goals for ensuring more productive enterprises as evidenced by their mutual support of the translation and localization needs of global organizations of all sizes, and commitment to providing users with important collaboration, workflow, quality and ease-of-use features," said Daniel Kogan, program director, SharePoint Server, Microsoft Corp. "The WorldServer platform has been the globalization software of choice for many world-class organizations. The demonstrated flexibility and ease-of-customization features associated with WorldServer will add value to the SharePoint Platform to help users further streamline business processes and derive more value from global information assets."
