There was an awful lot going on today. I spent most of the day in the Ballroom, checking out the sessions there. A few notes:
- I didn't see it, but several people I talked to came out of the Acrolinx integration demo with their jaws on the floor. I'm going to have to check it out when it's available on in the Resource Center.
- Andrew Thomas took a break from writing blog entries to put together an awesome 30-minute preview of WorldServer 9. What I really liked about the presentation was the way Andrew made it a story about users, rather than about the features themselves. What I didn't like was that he featured a character named "Larry Marketeer". Obviously, the best name for a Marketeer is "Mickey".
- The customer presentations are always my favorite part of WorldSummit. Unfortunately, two prime ones were scheduled against each other: a presentation from AOL about their experience with WorldServer, and a presentation from Matrix Communications about a custom portal they built on top of WorldServer using the web services framework. I opted to watch the latter, but I heard good things about the AOL presentation.
Dinner is out on the lawn, and it should be a beautiful night. Southern California is not so bad.
